My girlfriend at the time and I were part of 'Housework' - a series of performance pieces by Redfern artists in their own homes. We locked ourselves in our room and communicated with visitors only through a laptop in the living room. Visitors were unsure if we were actually in the room or somewhere else entirely, and this tension led to some confused reactions, including a watermelon being stolen from our refrigerator.
